The Junior Section is for boys in Primary 4, 5 and 6 and this year we have almost 40 boys on the roll. Throughout their time in the Junior Section boys participate in achievements with the aim of gaining their Gold Award in their third year. There are two badges awarded in each year, with boys required to complete two achievements in each of the Spiritual, Physical, Interest, Community and Adventure groups for each badge.

A typical night involves the opening worship, games, achievements and sometimes craftwork. The opening worship includes the inspection where each group is given points for behavior and for attendance at Church or Junior Church. During the session we also work towards some competitions such as the Battalion Figure Marching also participate in other Battalion competitions with the 5 a side football

The Junior Section work for a series of awards in order of colour starting with

White - Green - Puple - Blue - Red - Gold

Each Badge is harder to get although it usually takes a year to get two badges no matter which they are. Gold is the highest badge and a metal version of the badge can be worn on the left company armband along with the service badge and the Anchor award badge. A complete Junior Section armband would look like this (Including the Anchor Achievement badge gained in Anchor boys).

Each Award requires several achievements to be succesfully completed. The White and Green badges require 5 achievements, and the other badges each require ten achievements.
