In 1889 a company was formed by the John Knox Free Church Mission in the Royal Mile. By 1892 it had ceased activity but was revived by the Moray U.F. Church after the union of the Free and United Presbyterian Churches as the 35th Company. It continued for four years. In 1910 the church, having become the Moray U.F. reformed the company as the 36th in the Cannongate Christian Institute , it then continued till the 1914 war In 1901 North Morningside U.F. Church had a mission at Stenhouse Mills and formed a Company which meet in Stenhouse Mills School. Sports became popular and included a polo team . I n 1913 two boys were chosen for an international match between Scotland and Wales at Cardiff. By 1923 no fewer than seven boys had been international players. At the outbreak of the 1914 war the 10th(Gorgie U.F.) company joined with the 32nd temporarily. In the 1920`s a new church was opened as Stenhouse U.F. Church becomining Stenhouse -Suaghton Church. In 1924 a ex member Albert Gray , was reported as associate minister at Greenside U.F. Church. A string orchestra existed in 1924. By 1930 there was a brass band and mouth-organ ensemble.Later in 1984 there was a Bugle Band The Company had a recreation hut in Ford's Road and cleared its costs by 1933 by sales of work and concerts. The Company preferred private camps. One year, when camping at St Monans . three fishing yawls were chartered to take the Company and band to the Isle of May. The band played on the island. In 1931 the company performed the 32-some reel at " Hail Caledonia " in the Waverley Market . Lieutenant Walters was one of the main Soloists in "Scotland The Brave". In 1960 Private Michael Marshall was awarded the B.B. Cross for Heroism for gallant action in helping to rescue an old lady from her blazing house by climbing through the window. Captain James J Wilson won the M.C in the 1914 war .Boy Reserves were formed in 1926, becoming the Life Boys and Junior Section in turn Ex Members celebrated the seventieth anniversary in 1971. The 1920 they had a football team "Edinburgh Norwood" During 1990 - 1993 the company won the Hunter VC Swimming cup in four successive year During 1993 the Two churches Stenhouse - Suaghton and St Adain`s were forced to combine to form Stenhouse - St Adain`s . The two BB companies merged to from the 26th Edinburgh from the 32nd Under the Captaincy of Jim Barrett and the 67th under the captaincy of Alan Rankin. Following the merger Jim Barrett was appointed Captain Captains through the years
